A photo from the first outing with my new Lumix TZ10.

I’m disappointed the clover leaf masks the transition of the flower from yellow to pink.

Next time I’ll take more time to compose.

Notwithstanding that, I’m pretty happy with the lush greens and glistening rain drops. This was the standout pic of the expedition. I look forward to getting much better.

  1. Nice choice ol’ Bean 🙂

The Lumix was the camera of choice as the ‘prizes’ for our subscriber promotional competitions when I was working as a Content Manager for that Publishing Company a couple of years ago. Our photographers reckoned it was the best value on the market.

And it looks like you’re off to a fine start. And only you would be disappointed by an attention seeking clover leaf :-). Wouldn’t it be funny if you discovered that it was the ‘4 Leaf’ variety? 🙂 I reckon it detracts naught from the effect.

That reminds me of a little story from my ‘Carer’ days. I used to frequent the hospital to garner supplies for ‘Granny’ (my ‘Caree’). Over time I established a rapport with the life-hardened, bullet-proof lady that managed the ‘Supplies Department’. One day she regaled her disbelief at the existence of 4 Leaf Clovers. She had never seen one and had relegated them to fairy tales. I said “I’ll be back shortly”. I returned a few minutes later and dropped 7 of them into her open palm. I don’t think she breathed for the next 10 minutes. The look on her face was memorable indeed 🙂

I like the name of your photo-blog 🙂

    Cheers

  2. Thank you so much for stopping by, Stephen. It was a wonderful surprise to get your comment. Now I’ve REALLY got myself a blog! 🙂

I’m glad you dig the pic and the name. I sure dig your stories – generous and fascinating as they always are. Best regards indeed, P. 🙂

  3. You’re most welcome mate 🙂

And don’t you mean, ‘Now I’ve REALLY got myself ANOTHER blog!’ ? ;-P

The word ‘prolific’ has become entirely inadequate to describe your creative foliation… 🙂

    Always a great pleasure.

    Cheers

  4. Hee hee. Yeah, you got me there, Mate! 🙂
