Fence images can be frightfullly loaded.

I can’t decide if this one is menacing, beautiful or both.

The wire links are harsh yet graceful. The steel pole punctuates perfect sky.

The composition seems elegant, but maybe it’s boring as bat poo.

My rule of thumb is: ‘if in doubt, chuck it out’.

But I’m not sure about this photo.

What say you?

  1. It hurts to sit on the fence as you have shown here Paul. Great example and I am one to make a decision as it is more trouble being undecided.

    Another fine one Paul.

  2. You’re right, Susan. The wrong decision is better than none. This one stays! Thank you. 🙂

  3. To those who say it’s as boring as bat poo, I say ‘Get a life. Or a bat.’

As I type this response, well into the evening, I hear bats screeching outside as they feast upon hidden delights high in the trees. They poo, too, and from those dizzy heights, their pent-up poo plummets and pitter-patters onto our paving, often leaving pretty Pro-Hart-esque patterns.

So if indeed your fence photo is ‘as boring as bat poo’, it is in good company, for bat poo is anything but.

    Good one, Paul.

  4. What a wonderful comment, Graeme; Funny, uplifting and enchanting. With folks like you, Susan and Stephen in my corner, how can I fail? Thanks very much for your kindness and support. It means more to me than you know. Best regards, P. 🙂

  5. I think it’s beautiful. Love the texture in the steel. I wouldn’t necessarily hang it on my wall, but that’s OK! Nice one.

  6. Unreal to see you here, Ad! I love your comment AND I’m hanging it on my wall. Ta muchly for gracing me with it. 🙂
