This photo sure snuck up on me after the fact.

I took it for a lark, only to find a raft of contrasts when I got home.

An empty pool. A sunny winter’s day. A faceless self-portrait.

Light and shade. Grass and concrete. Man and nature.

A son in his father’s home.
