I love the illusion of scale, but this scene was way smarter than I.
While I worried about the gum leaf on the distant succulent, a much bigger leaf lay in the bottom left corner.
And as I wondered if the bark could pass for a log, my two Jack Russell Terriers brought an entirely new scale to the equation.
Sometimes it’s better to be a conduit than a pool.

  1. Hi Paul,

i had to look at this a few times and as with all your photos I find something else to see and wonder about.

    Love these posts.

    • You’re not the only one, Susan! This new camera is like another eye, right in my forehead. I’m still grappling with it myself.

Walks have acquired an unprecedented intensity. And knowing there’s kind folk like you ready to look and comment makes it very satisfying. So thank you! 🙂

  2. G’day Cobba 🙂

Yep! That’s one mighty fine Camera you got there…and that bluddy forehead is a beauty too…what a team they make…keep ’em comin’ :-).

Actually, when I first looked at it, I thought you may’ve been referring to the ‘Poodle-esque’ play at centre-stage 😛
